Learn From Bad Leadership

I’d like to offer some advice to those of us that have experienced bad leadership (past or present). Instead of wasting your time on their transgressions, learn from them. Your hard work and intelligent decisions, may someday soon result in leadership opportunities. You’ve got to figure out what it means to be a good leader, asap. I’ve always been told a good leader communicates ‘what to do’ rather than ‘what not to do’ so instead of dwelling on the characteristics you want to avoid, let’s dwell on those you want to promote. Soon enough you’ll be given the opportunity to lead and the even greater opportunity to set an example for the next generation of leaders.

I am blessed to have been given the opportunity to lead through Fundbrackets.com and I am excited to share my Top Ten Characteristics of a Good Leader:

  1. Patient
  2. Kind
  3. Humble
  4. Trustworthy
  5. Forgiving
  6. Respectful
  7. Adaptive
  8. Fiscally Responsible
  9. Persistent
  10. Physically Fit

Good leadership requires action. So stop dwelling on bad leadership and start defining good leadership.
